Remote presence during the GA can be followed through
Evo, and the direct link to the "conference" is
http://evo.caltech.edu/evoGate/koala.jnlp?meeting=MsMiMI2t2aDtDu9s9tDt9s
In case you do not want to install evo (it's just a java webstart application), you can use skype as explained here:
http://evo.caltech.edu/evoGate/Documentation/extclient/skype/skype.html
Babar also created a conference on indico to try and keep track of room bookings and video conference:

Agenda
General ideas on the "Camp" part can be discussed here:
FoswikiCamp. The detailed agenda for the "GA" part is here:
AgendaThirdGeneralAssembly.
Note time zone is UTC+1.
Accommodations
Unfortunately, accomodation at this period seems tight. CERN hostels are fully booked.
CERN has negociated some "special" rates with some hotels nearby:

Otherwise, you can use anything you want, like booking, to book a hotel in the area: (odered by price)

Note from
Babar:
Balladins is probably the only one within walking distance from CERN, but it's already a long walk, so I can shuttle a few people if needed. I also offered for some people to stay at my place. I have a spare bed, 2 sofas and some carpets

gmc already called dibs on one of those.
Note from
Sven : there is a tram (the 14) that takes 20minutes from the Geneva Cornavin train station to the front door of CERN - so I am likely to be near that line - I'm arriving late thursday.
Transports
Note from
Babar:
CERN has a shuttle service going back and forth to the airport, running once an hour, with the details available here:
http://gs-dep.web.cern.ch/en/content/Shuttle/Circuit4
- Any person entering the site must be in possession of a card issued by CERN certifying that he is authorised to enter the site. The drivers will ask the passengers from the airport to show their CERN access card. In case they do not have it, they will be dropped off at CERN entrance to do the necessary formalities.
- Babar will provide cards when you arrive, so please:
- Register on the table above to know when to expect you
- When you're dropped at the entrance, call Babar:
- There is a "public" phonebooth by the entrance, in front of building 55. As for building 33, there should be a phone somewhere, or just ask the securitas (the person behind the desk labeled "access cards", iirc) to call me.
- Simply dial 16 23 18, and I will tell you how to proceed
- Please let me know which building you're in. The main reception building, where the microcosm exposition is, is building 33. It's the one in front of the tram. If you happen, like Crawford, to end up in front of building 55, which is the building next to the main gate, it's fine, but I need to know where to find you
The airport also has some free public transportation deal, that each person arriving in Geneva is entitled an 80 min free ticket, details available here:
http://www.gva.ch/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-67/#publicsgratuits Please note that you shall keep your boarding pass / tickets with you during your travel, in case you get controlled (that's the policy of the free ticket).
