Working in the Telcom IT industry, so far mainly busy with delivering our products to the customers by doing intallation on Solaris, configuring the applications and testing them. Finally stuff is rolled out to prod environments. Currently this position is shifting a bit towards pre-sales.
Originally I studied architecture but got drawn into Linux and after finishing the master for architecture I started to work in the IT immediately. I am rather an admin then a developer.
I am maintaining a Foswiki installation in my company and are the driving force behind this wiki installation which is still in an "early stage" regarding usage although the system exists since beginning of 2007. However, it currently gets more attention and will hopefully address a wider audience.
What do I want?
Write access to SVN for the following branches:
wikiplugins
What can I do?
Fixing/improving documentation
Some experience with bash scripting (no other programming skills so far)
HTML knowledge
Why do I want to do it?
I am now daily using the system and started to create applications on top of it.
During maintaining the system I am reading the documentation and occasionally find stuff that could be improved, especailly as far as extensions are concered, this is done best by doing it via subversion (I am trying to avoid bothering others too much although I am not always successful with it )
Other Notes
A collegue of mine started a plugin to connect Foswiki against Asterisk to allow us click to call functionality. This development got stalled and unfortunately the collegue isn't with us anymore but basics (parts) are working on our wiki. There must come some point in time where we will provide it to the community regardless of its actual state.
