Other Foswiki installers and packages

See ArchivedOtherFoswikiInstallers for additional packages. Note that the archived packages have known security vulnerabilities and should be used only if patched, or for limited testing.

These packages are contributed by volunteers on the Foswiki core team. They tend to lag the primary Foswiki release a bit. If you need the latest release immediately, the official release packages can be used on most systems, though some care may be needed due to modified file locations.

Note: We are always looking for volunteers to help maintain these distributions, or to add to the collection. See Development/GettingStarted for details on how to sign up as a Foswiki developer. We especially need volunteers to care for the ArchivedOtherFoswikiInstallers.

Running From GitHub

It's also possible to run Foswiki from a clone of the GitHub foswiki repository. This is usually done by developers so that they are always using the very latest code, however by checking out specific tag, commit ID, or branch, it's possible to run any version of Foswiki.
