Can I port FoswikiOnAStick to a productive system ?

I am looking for WIKI for our company. During search, I found FoswikiOnAStick.

I am almost shure, that FOSWIKI can be our future wiki. So my question is. Is it possible to

port all I have done on the stick (Users, Groups, Webs, etc) to a productive sytem on a server ?

An additional question would be, since I want to setup a complete new machine, what is the

best operating system (Linux !) for FOSWIKI ?

best regards khsti

The topics and webs are stored in flat files under the data/ directory, so you are able to copy these over to a fresh Foswiki install and have all your topics appear instantly.

With the Users, it depends on what User Mapping you are using (as set in configure). Assuming you are using the default, these are also stored under the data/ directory, so it will be easy to port them too.

As for the best operating system, it all depends what you are most comfortable with. I've had Foswiki running fine on various Linux flavours, including Red Hat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu...
