This question about Using an extension: Answered

How/Where is the macro %GETTOPICTITLE% (used in NatSkin) defined?

-- MarcusRickert - 14 Oct 2013

I'm using NatSkin (3.99_016) and NatSkinPlugin (3.99_007). In topic WebTopicList there's a run-time error since the view supplied with NatSkin tries to call the macro %GETTOPICTITLE% which does not seem to be defined in FosWiki 1.1.8. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

It comes from DBCachePlugin. I don't think NatSkin should be depending on it! Only MichaelDaum can answer that.

NatSkin depends on DBCachePlugin because it implements TopicTitles. Topictitles are used as link texts rendering WikiWords.

There's no initiative yet to add this feature to the Foswiki core.

Marcus, let me know if you need this feature without using DBCachePlugin and I'll have a look at it. Otherwise just install DBCachePlugin and you are all set.
