This question about Installation of Foswiki: Answered

Virtual Machine image has no ETH0 adaptor

I have been trying to run the lastest virtual machine image of Foswiki 1.1.2. using VMplayer. There appears to be no ethernet interface set up and when i run /usr/sbin/foswiki-ip from the shell the command just returns a blank. Also if i use ifconfig there is no listing for ETH0. I can run the previous VM image 1.0.9 if no issue and am able to access that machine both from the local machine and from the rest of the network.

I have tried running the image in both VMware player and Virtualbox.

Also there was no CDROM device initially, but have managed to get that going by setting up fstab.

Any suggestions

Thanks
