Getting Started with FullCalendarPlugin

I'm having trouble getting started with this plugin and I'm unsure if I'm hitting some small bugs or just missing something (maybe both).

Two install issues I noticed:
  1. I can't seem to upgrade to the latest version of the plugin. The extensions installer says I have 1.0 of both HijaxPlugin and FullCalendarPlugin, but 1.1 is the latest. If I upgrade it seems to work but version still stays at 1.0. This may just be a problem with the versioning in the package, since it looks like they install correctly.
  2. During install of above plugins it says I have missing dependencies due to what looks like a problem with the CPAN versioning. I have Date:Calc 6.3, but it says I need >= 6.29. Likewise for JSON::XS it says I need >=2.29 (I have 2.3)/

The above issues may just be semantic, but I figured I'd mention them in case they are relevant.

My issue is that the calendar doesn't seem to be interactive and I can't add events. I go to the WebCalendar topic, and a calendar is rendered that looks nice and I can browse around it. When I first go to the page it brings up a window that says "Attention: %INSTANTIATE%". Clicking on the calendar days does not bring up a dialog to add events, and I can't seem to add them manually using %OBJECT% tags.

I think I may be missing a step here...

Sorry for the problems, James. Don't worry about the version numbers of the plugins. The CPAN errors do look like a core FW problem (both required versions are x.29).

No idea where "Attention: %INSTANTIATE%" comes from.

Do you have Firebug installed to see what is going on during page load? Here is an event object that is valid for this month,
%OBJECT{ allDay="0" category="mission" created="2011-05-06T14:07:05+02:00" creator="DavidPatterson" durationDays="0" edited="2011-05-06T14:07:05+02:00=DavidPatterson=12" endTime="11:00:00" startDate="2011-05-25" startTime="09:00:00" title="hello world" type="event" uid="event000124"}%No description%ENDOBJECT%
