This question about Using an extension: Asked

HolidaylistPlugin and regional public holidays

Is there a way to support regional public holidays in the HolidaylistPlugin? We have staff in different countries with different public holidays and so can only use @all on holidays that apply in all jurisdictions.

We have resorted to using a different calendar for each region but this doesn't look great because the calendars are stacked but the spacing does not align. So you can't get an overview across the company who is IN on a given day.

Another alternative we tried was creating dummy employees but this makes the public holidays less obvious.

Is there some way to group staff so the @all applies to only certain people?

NB: We are using TWiki but are planning to move to Foswiki when we have time

Is there an answer to the question above? I am trying to do the same thing, and can't find a way to do it.

I've taken a quick look at the code, and I don't see any way to assign groups by location.

I've tried entering a list of names per holiday, either directly, or defining a variable for the list of team members per contry e.g.:

set teamIndia = person1, person2, person3

* 1 May 2014 - %teamIndia% - May Day

Unfortunately the holiday list table then shows a single combined table row entry for "person1, person2, person3", where I want the holiday to show in the existing table rows per person.

Any other suggestions? (again, it needs to be a smaller defined group less than @all)
