current version of GoogleAnalyticsPlugin places the script in the header. google recommends placing it right before the closing in order to allow the page to have finished loading and to render. and then, the script can execute. this makes things appear much faster in the browser.

new implementation uses a skin overlay, and therefore has negligible impact on page rendering time.

I am afraid the template solution is not going to work. You cannot expect all skins to implement %TMPL:DEF{"bodyend"}%. NatSkin does not have it.

I remember we once had a discussion on ADDTOHEAD to also have an ADDTOBODY tag for exactly these purposes.
