Item11979: Hitting cancel edit on a topic that is in the process of being created causes error.
Priority: Urgent
Current State: Closed
Released In: 1.2.0
Target Release: minor
Applies To: Engine
Component:
Branches: trunk
for example, use the new topic creator in Sandbox, or by going to an unknown topic, then on the edit screen, hit cancel
or, in a more perverse case, use a create new topic popup as in the Tasks web, then hit cancel next to the save (not the outside one).
the GET based release_lock needs to be a little cleverer in the case of canceling a topic creation.

ok, this task is a clear as mud.
what I really mean to say is:
if I click on a link that goes off to create a topic, and during that process cancel, I want to be returned to the topic that I started on, not to webhome. and some errors take you to
Main, which is even worse.

I think maybe the right solution is to revert the changes that use "GET" to cancel and go back to the old post logic which has the redirect capability. In thinking about this a bit, doing a "GET" to a different topic than being edited will also release the wrong lock,
