As does template auth.

first up, I don't think that it originally did this, but there might be a reason it does now.

if you log into foswiki, and then navigate to http://foswiki.org/bin/login/ you get a screen that looks like you are not logged in, even though you are, rather than it rendering view (which is what i think it used to do.)

it makes sense to show the auth dialog if the user is ?sudo ing, but its weird to get one if its not needed.

In CasLogin's case showing this screen makes no sense - it might mean I should not subclass template auth - I'll have to test (I tend to do that to allow fallbacks)
