Item12503: AntiWikiSpamPlugin delete user function does not delete user from WikiUsers topic
Priority: Enhancement
Current State: No Action Required
Released In: n/a
Target Release:
The docs for the plugin say "The User will be removed from the Mapping manager if supported" which I would interpret to mean (in a basic Foswiki installation) that the user will be deleted from the
WikiUsers topic. This isn't happening.

Foswiki 1.1.4 doesn't have the API to delete users. At one point the plugin had alternative code to remove users on old versions of Foswiki, but it sounds like that was lost somewhere along the way.

Are you implying that this feature
is working in more current versions of Foswiki? If so, then i'd consider this bug fixed and ready to close. I'll just need to get the site updated.

I use it pretty regularly on Foswiki.org, and it seems to clean up the
WikiUsers topic correctly. Please don't close this task though. The intention was that the plugin should work on older versions of foswiki by doing it's own cleanup.

I've gone back to Foswiki 1.1.4, and the remove user function works. It removes the user topic and the entry in WikiUsers. It looks like it's 1.1.3 and earlier where the
WikiUsers topic is not updated. I've updated the documentation to reflect this.
I can't find where it used to remove the user from old releases. At this point I'm not planning on trying to implement this.
