Item12507: JQ-based editing of State not working

Selecting a new State from the drop-down list (direct editing), the change doesn't take effect. There is nothing logged in the apache error log.

I am running the latest version (which interestingly was not available as update in configure, but required an uninstall to show up as the new version to be installable), together with Foswiki 1.1.8., that was upgraded from Foswiki 1.1.3 by extracting the tarball on top of the directory.

I suspect a general issue with JQueryPlugin or maybe JQEditableContrib, as I also encounter a very similar behavior with EditRowPlugin (Item12132), which presumably uses the same framework.

This bug might be related to my local installation with its rather long upgrade history. Otherwise I would have re-opened Item12315, which is quite similar.

As no errors are reported in the Foswiki or Apache logs, I would really appreciate any hints for debugging, workarounds or real fixes. Which other information can I contribute in order to help hunting down the bug? Maybe some parts of the LocalSite.cfg?
