Various versions of perltidy shipped with different distributions generate different results, meaning that a module which is tidy in one person's environment is not tidy in another.

The Perl Tidy.pm is small, and can be shipped with BuildContrib. Not ideal, but better than the current debacle.

I used cpanm Perl::Tidy to install a local perltidy for Foswiki development.

Yes, so did I, but it's easier this way to stay in lock-step if there are new versions. I recoded the trigger on foswiki.org so that it runs against the version in BuildContrib.

I like the idea of adding a perltidy target to BuildContrib
