MailInContrib authenticates against an IMAPS source cleartext on one line.

After migrating to Exchange 2010 I learn from our e-mail supplier, that this form of authentication is not anymore supported.

So, I'm asking, if it would be possible to add a different form of authentication to MailInContrib.

MailInContrib uses whatever is available from the CPAN module Email::Folder::IMAP. If that module supports the right kind of authentication, then maybe you need to upgrade, or possibly modify your configuration accordingly. If not, you may need to report the problem upstream.

If you need a modification to CPAN Email::Folder to get this to work, I'd be happy to work out a cost for doing that.

Regraded from "Urgent" to "Enhancement".

Thanks.

So I went in and had a closer look into Email::Folder::IMAP. Turns our, that it tripped over usernames including AD domain names: username\domain.

We could circumvent the problem by using the email address instead of the username to login into Exchange 2010.
