I have been using this syntax the past almost 10 years in one of the first apps we ever made.

%QUERY{"'%TOPIC%'/ProcessDocTWikiForm.DocumentStatus"}%

It has started returning nothing now. I have had to change the app to using FORMFIELD

I cannot tell if all use of QUERY is broken or only this syntax. But broken it is

Example

I tried to add .value

George says it works without formname

Engine

value

The short form works. Adding the .value is not working. it returns value now.

The docu for QUERY sucks and refer to the query search docu. This is for me a compatibility issue. I hate the syntax of QUERY and actually prefer FORMFIELD.

I can see from earlier bugs that we had a problem here

Is HoHo the HoHo field - in the Haha form - in the Trala topic?

Or is it the HoHo field in the Haha topic in the Trala web?

The spec sucked. And the documentation of QUERY sucks even more. At least the current spec needs to be written so you can understand it.

My problem was quickly fixed. I had used the syntax one place in a view template. I have changed it. My problem is gone.

I am OK by having this report treated as a docu missing item.

%QUERY{"'%TOPIC%'/DocumentStatus"}%

Good start Michael. And I had figure this out by now. But I think we should try and add more to the System/VarQUERY page. Downgrading to "Enhancement" as this is a docu update task now. I can see that making it work like before is a bad thing.
