The dependencies of GraphicsMagic/PerlMagick and/or ImageMagick/PerlMagick need to be better documented.

The plugin installer doesn't handle either/or dependencies. In the case of GraphicsMagick, the module is not found in CPAN but is installed as part of the GraphicsMagick distribution. And the ImageMagick version can be installed either via CPAN or as part of the distribution. However this seems to vary by OS and Linux distribution / package manager. Probably best to not try to install any of these via installer. Instead document where to find dependency information and installation instructions.

True. So there are two things to do:

  1. remove both magick backends from DEPENDENCIES
  2. add installation documentation how to install them manually (via os installer or via download)

Done for ImagePlugin. Next is ImageGalleryPlugin.
