Item1563: DebianPackage should set up {PermittedRedirectHostUrls} synomyms
Priority: Normal
Current State: Being Worked On
Released In:
Target Release: n/a
cos its annoying having localhost, servername, 127.0.0.1, servername.domain.com etc not just work.
(maybe troll to find all the host's names and present a checkbox?)
(consider the same for configure)

I've removed all configuration from the foswiki.deb in trunk - it's now just a meta package that pulls in all the other core packages, webs, and a configuration package.
The one configuration package that's building automatically is dead simple - no questions to get wrong, no
LocalSite.cfg that would stomp existing Foswiki configuration (the Foswiki.spec has defaults that just work for this simple configuration), and an Apache config file that only allows access from localhost (still a potential source of upgrade issues). This should get people up and running initially in a safe manner, and then the system can be tweaked to open up access (write a
LocalSite.cfg and copy+modify the apache config to make their own).
The configure CGI is in its own package, and as shipped doesn't have write access to the Apache or
LocalSite.cfg, or System web, so it's safe but non-functional. A procedure to enable it if desired and documentation of that procedure is still to do.
