Update Attachment Plugin processes all webs, even if one is specified as described in the documentation:

for example, to update the Sandbox web

• http://foswiki.org/bin/rest/UpdateAttachmentsPlugin/update?topic=Sandbox.WebHome

But instead, it processes ALL webs.

Also, it also processes the System web, which is likely inappropriate (and makes it difficult to find honest revisions to a installation, since many topics will have attachments added.)

OPTIONS

• Change documentation to reflect current behavior
• Change code to restrict it to specific webs.
• Go further and if WebHome is not specified, only update a single topic.

I prefer the latter as it results in more controlled behavior and limits the extent of the changes. The usual case is that one topic needs to be updated with uploaded pictures, for example.

I have not observed this issue on the new version of the plugin for Foswiki 1.1.x Extensions/Testing.UpdateAttachmentsPlugin Now Released.
