in my quick test of 1.0.7, it appears to always fail.

i'm not 100% sure if this is a change i/cdot made intentionally, and thus the docco is now wrong - um, for security reasons :/

or if this is a bug we made lately

Works now on 1.1.3 - Login accepted without passwords.
