and i'da thought we would like to encourage developers to use one logging code style - and presumably get rid of the STDERR thing.

especially when someone gets to writing a Syslog logger....

Seems to be there now:

Foswiki::writeWarning
Foswiki::writeDebug
Foswiki::writeEvent

Also, RedesignLoggerAPI promotes the Logger API to a standard API so that it can be used directly. It also adds support for the Log4Perl / Log4J style calls logger->warn()
