The docs have this to say:

limit="..." maximum itterations, default is 0 (unlimitted)
skip="..." skips the first n hits when formatting the output, defaults to 0 (no skip)
depth="..." only recurse to a given depth, defaults to 0 (unlimitted)

However, the limit param is not checked until the tail end of the recursion, so I am getting more than N results when I specify limit=N.

With this patch I also tidied up some spelling errors.

Re-opening, need to make this change work with the skip logic.
