Doing JQREQUIRE(supersubs), which depends on superfish, resulted in JS loading in this order:

supersubs
superfish

Expected:

superfish
supersubs

The cause is a one-liner fix, see commit.

Michael, added you to this to see if my diagnosis is correct (it's very early in the morning here, perhaps more sleep might show that I'm wrong

Examples don't render correctly under NatSkin. The menu classes of the skin's css and the example code interfere. We need an upstream patch to specify different menu classes instead of just sf-menu
