Item2475: Ability to write content to a topic instead of attachment
Priority: Enhancement
Current State: No Action Required

AttachContentPlugin has been very useful: generating CSV files for import into other databases/spreadsheets, for example.
I have been using it in another, very ugly kind of way and I know I'm not the only one doing it: generating a .txt topic as an attachment, and then symlinking that file into my
/data
directory - to save a search result as static content to be INCLUDEd in parts of our skin customisation (web lists).
I now need to generate/update topics in a wiki application (form builder thing) which will be used by ordinary users, so maintaining symlinks from /pub is out of the question. I've been hacking
AttachContentPlugin to provide a
%STARTTOPIC%=/=%ENDTOPIC%
feature.

The plugins API doesn't have a real interface to UI::Save. In retrospect it would be safer for my application to just build a form that will POST to the save script in the browser.
