Can we have a core feature or at least a tweaking for our Foswiki-Website that makes sure, that we can indicate links, that lead you to another website with a sign.

Here is a good solution from my company's weblog


That can be done simply by installing ExternalLinkPlugin.

Hm, I tried to dig it but couldn't find the solution. NatSkinPlugin by default should detect any url (through getUrlHost) and wrap it with natExternalLink. I don't see any toggle whatsoever. Even the HTML doesn't show natExternalLink for external links. Am guessin' it's a bug?

Added Set EXTERNALLINKS = on in TWikiPreferences.

  • Set SKIN = nat
  • Set DISABLEDPLUGINS =
