so: Why the hack is the name of the web used in INCLUDE added when the result of the included search is a WikiWord?

Of course I can work around this by adding <nop> to the search, but IMHO this shouldn't be possible at all --> bug.

I believe this is spec. If you include a topic from another web, plain WikiWord links need to be prefixed, e.g. linked as Otherweb.WikiWord so that links continue to work.

Hm, can live with that as I have a workaround, but I think this behaviour should be somehow documented as the search result is the WikiWord that gets expanded.
