My machine is running Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Server
Foswiki seems to be running fine.
Trying to update
CommentPlugin via
FindMoreExtensions leads to an error message:
Error: Cannot create directory /usr/lib/cgi-bin/lib: Permission denied
Software error:
Installation terminated at /var/lib/foswiki/lib/Foswiki/Configure/UIs/EXTEND.pm line 134.
The directory /usr/lib/cgi-bin/lib doesn`t exist and should'nt be created.
I suspect that the file operating should point to /var/lib/foswiki/lib ...
Installation terminated at /var/lib/foswiki/lib/Foswiki/Configure/UIs/EXTEND.pm line 139.
Trying to install
LdapContrib it stops with
Error: Failed to move file 'LdapContrib_installer' to /usr/lib/cgi-bin/LdapContrib_installer: Permission denied
The installer should write to /usr/lib/cgi-bin/foswiki...
Is there an easy solution for this issue?
Greetings
Bernhard
yes
don't use configure. When using the
DebianPackage, use apt-get
always.
if you do an
apt-cache search foswiki
you will see the foswiki packages that are available.
I plan on replacing the More Extensions button on the
DebianPackage with this advice, but I've not gotten there yet :/
