Item8568: PatternSkin can not create Topic without WikiWord
Priority: Normal
Current State: Closed
Released In: 1.1.0
Target Release: minor
With
PatternSkin if you set
HIDE_NON_WIKI_WORD_WARNINGS = on
The checkbox and the Warning about non
WikiWords disapear in
WebCreateNewTopic. But you can still not create a non
WikiWord Topic, beacuse the JS-Code still check for a
WikiWord and disables the create button.
If you add ;skin=raw to the url to bypass the skin you are able to create the topic.

A rather obscure feature. However it
is a core feature, and the problem is in the
PatternSkin javascript.However I do
not classify this as a release blocker, regraded to Normal and confirmed.

The fix for this no longer blocks non-wikiword topic names regardless of the state of the checkbox or the HIDE parameter. Reopening. Fails on trunk.foswiki.org as well.
