Item8582: TinyMCEPlugin editor copies current topic onto the Primary Selection
Priority: Normal
Current State: No Action Required
Released In: n/a
Target Release: n/a
On Linux / X-windows (Recreated on KDE and Gnome) the
TinyMCE Editor appears to copy the entire edited topic onto the "Primary Selection" buffer, equivalent to highlighting text in a window. This replaces anything placed into the selection buffer from another window, and the user will end up pasting the topic into itself if they use the middle-button (or chord) paste into the
TinyMCE edit window.
The problem does not occur with the Clipboard (Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V) only the selection buffer.

Messing around in the js console, confirmed that it
is possible to enable/disable the MCE editor at their demo site (3.3b2) without contaminating the select buffer.
TODO: Test setContent()
