The full history of
WebStats hangs working with rdiff filling the server cpu. Is it due to the fact that there are too many revisions? I have tryed with an old twiki version and there is no delay.
You can try these:
http://trunk.foswiki.org/bin/rdiff/Tasks/WebStatistics?type=history
http://www.foswiki.org/bin/rdiff/Tasks/WebStatistics?type=history
The delay should be due to the elevate number of revisions. I have deleted the ",v" file and everything works fine. Still, note that with TWiki (ver 01 Sep 2004 $Rev: 1742 $)
WebStats history works fine, even with a large number of revisions.

I strongly suspect that this is due to FSA caching the output.

The reality is you are just given that ollusion with twiki; it is still processing every revision and killing the server, it's just outputting them all so it looks busy.
What is really needed is to cap the number of revisions displayed in a diff history.
Done, and made rdiff handle non-sequential revisions.
Really it would be better to use a paging approach, but we just don't have the infrastructure ATM.
