[12:03] <foswiki_irc9> Am I correct in assuming that in order to fill out a form you have to be in edit mode?
I didn't see anything too explicit in the documentation I read.
[12:05] <wbniv> yes
[12:05] <wbniv> forms "attached" to topics, that is
[12:06] <wbniv> it s also possible to create html forms which show in view
[12:06] <foswiki_irc9> wbniv: thanks! I wasn't able to pick up on that detail from reading it a few times
[12:07] <wbniv> there are probably also plugins which let you edit those topic forms in a kind of view mode, as well...
[12:13] <foswiki_irc9> In the doc AnApplicationWithWikiForm and/or DataForms I think that something as simple as a
screenshot or two showing the difference between a form added to a topic vs an HTML form would make it clearer.
I just re-read those pages and the information is all there, but it reads a little ambiguously if you're not
already familiar with the lingo
[12:20] <wbniv> i'll bet some (more) screenshots would help as well! ;-)

One of many good ideas for improving the doc.
