Wiki Words should NOT include the following items:

Yet in FosWiki they do. (They didn't in older versions of TWiki).

This bug should be rectified. Wiki Words are very useful auto-links to other topics but if they become too frequent (false positives) then they become irritating as identification numbers will all have to be proceeded with an exclamation mark or <nop> marker.

I suggest the WikiWord identification procedure requires, at a minimum, a lower-case letter in the expression.

For me this is a useful feature. I often use chemicals such as Y2O3, V2O5, H2O, ... and I do want to have those as links

AFAICT it has been this way since 16th Feb 2005 (nearly 7 years). Since before we started tracking requirements, in fact.

If you raise a feature request and attach a patch to make this optional, it can be considered. Note that it's trivial to change; file Render.pm, search for "Handle Wiki" and remove the abbrevRegex bit.

No action.
