Hello folks,

I recently moved a topic from one web to another. This topic has one children. I noticed that the children topic did not move along with the parent topic. I do not know if this is a bug, or if this is the intended behavior.

I am using the Debian package on Ubuntu.

The Parent/Child relationships in Foswiki are a "soft" relationship. Foswiki doesn't do anything to validity check or enforce them. Move currently only moves a single topic at a time. This would definitely be a feature request, or could be done in an extension. Moving topics is one of the more complex functions of Foswiki due to the complexity of fixing backlinks, etc.

The children hopefully have their parent information updated to point to the new location of the parent topic. If children are orphaned when a topic is moved, that is a bug. (Some work has been recently done to improve this piece. However it is a bit tricky when the parent name wasn't a wikiword, and is not auto-linking.)
